I have struggled with anxiety since 2007. After the jump is my very personal journey with mental health and I am sharing it in case it might help just one person.  I found my light in the tunnel six years after my struggle began; I would love to be able to save one person even one day of not having that.  Anxiety and depression are like breakups: we’ve all been there, but it’s the nuances to each person’s experience that can make it so harrowing and lonely. Here are mine.

Progress (according to my half-marathon trainer app)
The distance isn’t correct, but that’s okay. The app seems to care more about the time than the distance at first, as long as you keep track of your pace per mile in general and keep bringing that number down.  In the “base” stage that I’m still in, I don’t need to be focusing on pace as much yet. 
The plan I’m on has me running 4 days a week, with my long runs on Saturdays. Every other week I cross train one day instead of running. I might also start cross training on one of my “rest” days.
